Piling & Geotechnical Director Neal dreams of holidaying in the Maldives which would be the perfect destination for him to practise his dream of being able to surf. Neal loves to eat Thai food and adds the necessary spice to our Piling Division, with his wealth of experience. When not taking part in outdoor pursuits Neal will be found channeling his inner Clint Eastwood - is he good, bad or just plain ugly?
Piling & Geotechnical Ops Director and our very own Mr Muscle Mark loves nothing more than leading our site teams to deliver his projects on time and in budget. Mark is able to interpret complex project scopes and deliver clear and concise communication to our site teams, despite him being difficult to understand ... erm! Mark's favourite film is the Goonies and when working on site can often be heard shouting "hey you guys!".
Our Piling Operations Manager Dean is as passionate about watching his daughter playing football as he is in driving operational standards on site. When it comes to delivery scorecards he always wants to turn the red to green, as far as he's concerned the devil truly is in the detail. As well as football, nothing makes Dean happier than the offer of a good roast at the weekend.
Our Project Co-ordinator Sam adds the structure, organisation and project support we need within our Piling division. The day to day life within the piling industry can be like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get, however, this doesn't phase Sam as she loves the challenge and pace of the job. Sam likes to be active and can often be found either walking or at the gym but she would definitely lay back and chill in her dream holiday destination of the Maldives.
Keen traveller Tylene looks after the resourcing and compliance from her base "down South" and consistently demonstrates a great attention to detail in her role. Whilst Tylene dreams of holidaying in Bora Bora she also knows that there is “no place like home”. Being an integral part of our Piling & Geotechnical team and you can often hear the team celebrating her successes by shouting “Come on Tylene”.
Senior Quantity Surveyor and Italian food enthusiast Gareth leads his operational team by example… not fear, despite clearly taking inspiration from a lifetime of mobster movies. Armed with sharp commercial nous, an obsessive attention to detail, and a talent for keeping projects running smoothly, Gareth is the kind of man who can spot a budget discrepancy quicker than most people can spot a parking space. Outside of work, he’s equally committed to his other passions — being a devoted family man, tackling ambitious DIY projects that may or may not require multiple trips to B&Q and expanding what colleagues suspect is an ever-growing collection of Adidas trainers.
Helen Wills, our Piling & Geotechnical Project Manager, brings a cool head and sharp precision to even the most ground-shifting challenges—though her true foundation might just be built on chocolate. When she’s not ensuring projects are rock-solid, she’s dreaming of a quiet sandy beach somewhere with a warm sea and absolutely no emails. A fan of classic Bond films (we won’t mention the last one), Helen balances her technical expertise with a creative streak, often swapping spreadsheets for sheet music as she plays the flute. Calm, capable, and quietly impressive—Helen keeps things running smoothly from the ground down.
Steffan King heads up the Rope Access side of our Piling & Geotechnical division with the calm precision of a man who’s probably mentally calculating his next golf swing while hanging hundreds of feet in the air. Powered almost exclusively by lamb roast dinners, he dreams of one day making the pilgrimage to Monterey, California. A fan of Remember the Titans, Steffan brings the same team-first mentality to work, although colleagues suspect he’s more emotionally invested in his golf handicap than most people are in their pensions.
